Last night, the Committee, consisting of Pete Kemp, Dan Reilly, Neil Kemp, Pete Atkins, Dave Murphy, and Mark Court, convened to address several queries and discuss improvements aimed at supporting the league and fostering its growth. Here are the key updates from the meeting:

---------------------------------------

🏆 EPL Doubles Cup 🏆
The Cup Draw will take place on Sunday using the Rackem App. This draw will be unseeded, with the app randomly generating the teams and venues. Dave Murphy and Pete Atkins will oversee the process with Mark Court generating the draw, with results being posted on the site as soon as they are finalised. Currently, we have 20 teams registered, but we aim to increase this number to 24. If you wish to participate, please register now for a fee of £5 per team. Payments should be made to Mark Court and must be completed before the first match on Thursday, 17th April.

---------------------------------------

➡⬅ Player Transfers ➡⬅
In line with previous seasons, player transfers are permitted but are subject to several rules:
- Each team is allowed only one transfer per season.
- Players can transfer only once; a player cannot move from Team A to Team B and then to Team C.
- Transfers must be announced in the Captains chat before they are finalised to ensure the player is moved on the app and to confirm the transfer is allowed.
- Transfers can only occur within the first six league games of the season. Therefore, the deadline for any transfers this season is Thursday, 17th April, before the EPL Doubles Cup. No transfers will be allowed after this date.

---------------------------------------

🧾 Score Sheet Accidents 🧾
If a mistake is discovered after a match has been locked in, please contact the Captains chat immediately to make any necessary changes on the night. Any errors identified after submission can be disputed using the app or raised in the Captains chat. Failure to address these mistakes may result in the loss of frames for players who are found not to be following the correct rules.

---------------------------------------

🎱 Cup / League Format 🎱
Following issues identified during recent Cup weeks and communicated by Dan Reilly, Captains are responsible for ensuring that players do not exceed the allowed number of frames. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in the frame being reversed and awarded to the opposing team. This may inpact the overall match result. The maximum number of frames any player can play is four however, no player can play two frames and another playing four. Maximum is one frame more than another player in the team. Previous mistakes will be considered teething issues, but moving forward, this will be closely monitored, and frames will be awarded based on the results. If a player exceeds the allowed frames and loses, the result will stand. However, if the player wins, the result will be changed to a loss.

---------------------------------------

⭐ Teams Short of Players
Recently, some teams have been unable to field the full number of players for a match. While this is acceptable, the frame must be recorded on the sheet as a “Forfeited Frame.” No player can play more than the allowed frames as stated above. If a player wishes to play the frame to ensure the opposition gets a game, this is permitted, but it must not be recorded on the app and should be played as a “Forfeited Frame.”

---------------------------------------

© Captains Agreements ©
Teams needing to bring a frame forward or delay a frame due to commitments or illness on the night are allowed to do so, provided it is agreed upon by the captains. All frames must be locked in on the app before the match starts, and players must be listed in the order as per the rules. Only after this can a frame be moved or delayed, but the player must not be recorded on the app out of turn.

Thank you for your attention to these updates. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the smooth operation and continued growth of our league.
