Last night marked the season’s first competition to reach the Final stages, as the EPL Doubles Quarter Finals and Semi Finals unfolded at Egham & Hythe.
🎱 Quarter Final Line-Up:

- 🎱 Stan Sims & Dave Murphy
- 🎱 Matty Jennings & James McCarthy
- 🎱 Tom Howick & Paul Morrison
- 🎱 Chris Howick & Jason Willerby
- 🎱 Dan Reilly & Dan Lazlo
- 🎱 Ethan Coates & Chris Butler
Unfortunately, due to holiday commitments, Matty Jennings & James McCarthy had to withdraw, granting Stan Sims & Dave Murphy a direct route to the Semi Finals.
Next up, George Smith & Martin Court faced Chris Saunders & Nick Rose in a tightly contested match. It was George & Martin who edged ahead, securing their Semi Final spot against Stan & Dave.
In the following Quarter Final, the Double D’s — Dan Reilly & Dan Lazlo — took on Ethan Coates & Chris Butler. The Double D’s came out on top in this one.
Then came a clash of the Howicks: Tom Howick & Paul Morrison, widely tipped as favourites to win the the EPL Doubles, went up against Chris Howick & Jason Willerby. Tom & Paul proved too strong, earning their place in the Semi Finals against their teammates, the Double D’s.
🎱 Semi Final Highlights:
The first Semi Final saw rising star Stan Sims & Dave Murphy take on George Smith & Martin Court. Experience prevailed in a close 4–2 match, with George & Martin advancing to the Final.
The second Semi Final featured an all-team showdown: Dan Reilly & Dan Lazlo vs Tom Howick & Paul Morrison. Despite being favourites, Tom & Paul were edged out in a thrilling 4–3 decider, with the Double D’s booking their place in the WR Sports, Three Tuns Final. Sound familiar?
🎱 The Final Awaits:
Commiserations to the losing pairs, but huge congratulations to George Smith & Martin Court and Dan Reilly & Dan Lazlo, who will now battle it out on Finals Day to be crowned EPL Doubles Champions 2025.
A fantastic final is expected — with very little to separate these two top-class pairs!
